Our Team

Tom Rein began his journey with Whitley Penn back in 1985 where he worked in Tax for the first 20 years of his career. Fast forward and WPWealth was founded by Tom in 2001 with a mission to provide exceptional client service. Since then, WPWealth has been constantly growing and expanding under his leadership and guidance. Daily, he assists many of the firm’s clients with various financial planning and investment matters, including wealth management, investment management services, financial planning, asset protection consulting, estate planning and insurance needs. Additionally, he mentors WPWealth team members on all aspects of business and wealth management challenges. He always looks to invest in and add value to each team member, ensuring the strong future and success of WPWealth.

Tom has served on a number of committees and boards through the years. He currently serves as an active member of TD Ameritrade Institutional Advisor Panel and on the Board, Finance and Executive committees for Catholic Charities Fort Worth. Additionally Tom has served on the NTSP Finance Committee, Care N’ Care Board Member, First Trust Advisory Board, United Way Allocation Committee, Rotary International – Fort Worth, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Tarrant County Organization of Professionals, Colleyville/Grapevine Youth Associations, HEB Youth Sports Association, and has volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Tom is a certified public accountant (CPA), personal financial specialist (PFS) and holds a Series 66 License – Investment Advisor Representative, Group 1 License – Texas Department of Insurance. He is also an active member in the following professional organizations: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), Fort Worth Chapter of TSCPA, PFS Section of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

To Tom, family has always been one of the most important things in his life. Being one of five and having three children himself, Tom brings the family values to WPWealth, fostering that relationship-oriented environment and putting clients’ best interest as a top priority. Outside of WPWealth and community involvement, Tom enjoys staying active, playing golf, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and spending time at the lake.
